In light of our new group gathering realities, we’ve moved our services from physical venues to an online platform for at least the next few weeks. We encourage you to view this change as a huge opportunity for us to grow in our spiritual lives and community.
We want to serve our people continually and practically. And by “we,” I first mean the community relationships we have already established. If you have been participating in a Community Group, we ask that any practical and personal needs are first communicated and met at that level. If and/or when your Community Group cannot meet those needs – picking up/delivering groceries for elders/those who might be sick, repairing a household item, donating toilet paper, etc. – let us know here at the Village office. If you have not been in a Community Group, or if your Freedom Session or Alpha group is no longer meeting, please contact us and we will attempt to connect you. This is a great time for those of you who’ve not been connected in community to take that next step. We are here to serve you. And together, we ARE the Church.
The three main priorities of Village Church are: Gospel (good news), Community, and Culture. In times like this, we also want to remember our Culture value. Let’s take care of ourselves and each other – if you are able to reach out to others in our community, please do it! A phone call, text, or video chat can go a long way for someone who may be feeling lonely in this time of social distancing.
Although we may not be gathering physically, there are still opportunities to join in community:
- Join us during our full Sunday Service Online!
a. We will be gathering at 10am, 12pm, and 8pm MDT on Sunday mornings for full worship and a sermon.

c. This is a great opportunity for you to invite your friends, family, neighbours, and coworkers to join us online! - Gather with your Community Group online.
a. Community Group Leaders have been given instructions on how to coordinate a gathering online, and will be reaching out to their groups soon – we encourage you to participate.
b. Join our online prayer gathering. - Instead of our usual prayer gatherings on Wednesdays at 9am, we will be doing an online prayer gathering on Wednesdays at 7pm.

We hope that you can see that this is an opportunity for the Church to “show up” in a powerful way. Many of your neighbours, friends, or family are scared and we, as a church, want to show them how a relationship with Jesus can cut through the fear and worry. We encourage you to invite your friends and family to join us in our online gatherings.
